The protective fabric meant for outdoor use almost completely prevents the penetration of sunlight and UV radiation through the fabric. UV penetration was 0% and light penetration 0.9%.
Test Purpose:
The purpose of the testing is to demonstrate the opacity of coated fabric types to light as well as to ultraviolet radiation.
Test Method in Detail:
The transmission spectra of ultraviolet radiation and light in the wavelength range of
295–800nm (UVB, UVA and visible light of the sun) was measured for the fabric samples.
The measurement was carried out in an optics laboratory employing, among other things, as pectroradiometer and an integrating sphere connected to it.
